Santa Cruz, California natives and husband & wife team, Chris and Paige Curtis, inspire and bring to life all designs at their home in Aptos. Production takes place at their warehouse two miles away with the help of their team of employees. With roots all over Santa Cruz, the material they source --from mossy fences, old floor boards, barn wood, and anything else they can get their hands on-- is 100% authentically weathered, recycled, and thoughtfully repurposed into sustainable goods for the home. Founded, quite accidentally, in the spring of 2012 in the backyard of Chris & Paige's home, Alibi Interiors is an independent and fully sustainable establishment. It's beginning is of an organic and humble one. Chris worked as a paramedic for six years before his departure into the world of entrepreneurism, after a local retail shop took interest in his picture frame building hobby. After participating in a few makers fairs for fun, the hobby took root and grew quickly. With a BFA in Interior Architecture from SJSU, Paige worked in a small design firm and managed a retail shop, directing visual displays and merchandising. After two years of casually building frames, furniture and using handwritten invoices, it was the winter of 2014 when Chris had the idea that both would quit their jobs to put all energy towards developing the business, originally known as The Alibi {Interior Creations}. Twelve years later, Alibi Interiors LLC continues to expand, inspire, and hunt for discarded wood.
